It's not 1984 - it's the BRAVE NEW WORLD
What is the main difference between the two ? Orwell claims that complete "order and control" will be achieved via constant active monitoring and active spying by governments and intelligence units. We know that control via such methods is absolutely impossible - Communism proved that (by failing).
Huxley on the other hand concentrates on the manipulation of the subconscious and the programming of human behavior through its help. Once you program the bigger part of a nation to let's say buy BIO products for 3x the normal price of food your agriculture starts making 3x more. Is it healthier for the people ? No one is sure but for the sake of capital the public is made to subconsciously think so. How do you achieve that ? It is enough to have "credible sources" from which there is no escape and these source repeat "BIO is better" and at the same time "traditional is worse" and even if you consciously disagree the pattern is very firmly imprinted in your subconscious after a certain amount of repetitions in a certain time period. And there is absolutely no need for the people to actively listen to those repetitions. Information about everything around us reaches our subconscious and we then choose what to allow to enter our conscious and what not but our subconscious registers everything. When a certain factor appears often in our surroundings it will often reach our subconscious and leave an imprint on it without us consciously realizing it. This is the trick which installs the pattern in our "organic computer".
The big issue is that a person's conscious can suppress the subconscious urges ONLY when in calm and peaceful state. When under pressure and stress the human body releases adrenalin and other substances which diminish the capacity of the human brain to work and the organism switches back to the default pattern of behavior which is completely controlled by the subconscious or as we use to say the "habit". And hypnopaedia is the trick with which the owners of the mass-media around us can implant habits in the "educated" population without that population realizing or even having the chance to think about what is happening. This is one of the reasons why immigrants are not allowed documents for permanent residence until they start speaking the local language - without the language they cannot be programmed.
Why don't people react ? Maybe because in peaceful and non-agitated state our conscious can control and model the subconscious (study, meditation, trainings, change of bеhavior, etc.). So far it all seems just fine. Тhe problem is it is very difficult to not allow to be stressed out in an environment of constant threats, terrorism, wars, constant armed police in the streets, constant shocking news, constant shocking pictures on the net and newspapers, constant sexual urges, constant material urges. Тhe combination of these makes sure that at least 90% of the population paying attention to the mainstream society media is constantly under high stress. So in reality these people never think - they just act on subconscious urges.
Examples :
- If I eat BIO I will be healthy. Really ? With all the heavy metals transfered from the currently uncontrolled natural fertilizers which have been banned in the 1960s but with time the ban became obsolete since for 30 years no one used such ?
- If I buy an iPhone I will get laid like the characters in all the cool clips and movies which Apple is sponsoring. How many of you got laid because of the iPhone? Not many I guess and by the way the iPhone has always cost only $100 in China which is less than the price of half of Nokia's models there. That does not sound very "sexy", does it ?
- Even though 95% of the football fans know their favorite game is the most corrupt "organization" in the world they continue to bet and pay ridiculous amounts of money for tickets and merchandise.
In traditional life we call this "habit" but that word does not explain how habits are created. Hypnopaedia explains how habits can be imposed on people without them even realizing or in any way doubting their new values in life. Just look around you and you will understand how everything around is hypnopaedically conditioning you to behave exactly as you are expected to behave and when under stress you really have no choice, no matter what you think. And NO - meditation and sports are NOT ENOUGH to get rid of this threat - they just make it easier for you to accept and survive the "treatment".
So, thank you Aldous Huxley for being the first to shout about what many have noticed but have not been able or willing to speak about!

Barack Obama, where is your birth certificate ?
Until today (10.11.2009) Mr. Barack Obama has not shown a Birth Certificate. He claims he was born in Hawaii but has never shown a birth certificate. Until today Obama has only shown a confirmation (printed out on a computer) from a hospital in Hawaii but not a birth certificate.
In the last 14 months Obama has spent over 1.6 million US dollars to try and stop the three cases filed by Phil Berg to request that Mr. Barack Obama showed his birth certificate and proved that he was not a British citizen violating the US constitution.

P.S.
Mr. Barack Obama has been nominated for Nobel Peace Prize 10 days after becoming a US president. In other words 1 week after becoming a president the Nobel committee was sure he already did great for the world peace to accept his nomination. A complete farce by the European aristocracy.

Sorry, you're dead

And since 99% of the people today insist to remain stupid I need to underline that when there is a technological reason for the failure it is always written in the message. This one goes to the ones "allergic to conspiracy theories".

Oversimplification
Take for example the word LOVE. What does love mean in its core, root, essential meaning? To love someone does not mean to desire someone physically. To love someone does not mean to care for someone. These two are very closely connected but they are not the same thing and do not have to always be connected neither go always together. I care for alligators but I do not know them enough to love them or not. Even though some people think they're "Loving McDonald's" in reality they are just addicted to it So LOVE is not as simple as it seems and if we try to pretend it is not so we are just fooling ourselves.
Do you like the iPhone? The mobile without buttons. It looks sexy and simple. Technologically it is not simple. This far we all know but what is behind the simplicity that most of us so crave ? Or do they want something without really knowing what it is ? It works with a battery, I guess everybody knows that. The battery needs to be charged with a charger unlike the Nile crocodile. The body of the Nile crocodile is an organic solar-cell-battery. The Nile crocodile needs to feed once an year to survive, the rest of the time it "charges" itself with solar energy. One of the most simple, yet most developed creatures on Earth - a dinosaur. It is the most developed of its kind yet it does not have a clue about it and does not care.
We people say we care but do we really ? Simplicity is great not because of its greatness but because of the process of development through which it was achieved. This is why I feel uncomfortable around people with iPhones. They are like the Nile crocodiles - perfect yet profoundly uninformed and not caring. I sometimes even feel like I do not speak their language.
Yet Oversimplification seems so natural - the reaction to Overcomplication. Everything around us seems to be so overly complicated - states, super states, governments, wars, mass-media, economic crisis, bankrupt banks. But it is not - it is not complicated at all. Behind all these names are normal human beings. The unhappy, low, mean, spiteful, hateful, greedy, good, warm, caring, happy people. That is all.
And if your president likes to sleep around with women and men and then lies about it - most probably he will do the same service as a president. In other words your President will be two-faced, cheating and untrustworthy. But he may at the same time be caring, full of desires, full of hope - no need to Oversimplify and paint him "black". And that is what life is all about - nothing is Black or White. We need to try to live with this thought if we are to survive and have the brains to realize how, for a difference from the Nile croc.
P.S. Did you know that crocodiles (even huge ones) are a very easy prey for big cats (tigers, jaguars) ? Yes, cats LOVE using their brains all the time - for hunting, playing or manipulating their owners.

Film Analysis
When I attended one of the schools of my life, there was a teacher and a discipline where we had to study Analysis of written material - essays, short stories, books. The goal of this discipline was to help us understand the real messages in the works - the hidden ones, the ones that mattered. I hated this discipline, I could not understand why I had to study it (so awfully difficult) but I am glad I was a diligent student. In this post I will try to be as short as possible while helping people understand what they are seeing. Very few people nowadays are capable of doing a solid art analysis and I do not claim to be one of them so please help in this exercise if you have the desire and time. Thank you!
The story is about one person who thinks he is better than the others, he is something more. Not much more, just a bit more. For this slight feeling of superiority this person manages to ruin his own life and the lives of those who he thinks he loves. This is the main negative character - he is the important one.
*Each and every one of us is taught to become him in the nowadays Western Culture of "Individualists".
This is a movie about escapism - escapism is everywhere nowadays, even in our families which it is slowly but surely annihilating. Escapism is the Religion of the Western World which led us to the worst freedom and economics crisis of all times.
*Each and every one of us is taught to "stay away and not get involved" when someone else is taken down.
This is a movie about survival when you have no one and no place. This is the most difficult film to understand because each and every one of us lives in the illusion this could not happen to them. Then half of the actions in the movie are absolutely impossible to understand.
*Each and every one of us is taught to think bad things can happen ONLY to other people, never to us. As a result we can afford to live without "thinking". Just repeat everyday habits and daydream without any real touch with real life (not artificial reality created by the mass-media).
The words of Mark Vonnegut are the best description : "We are here to help each other get through this thing, whatever it is." The best American movie for me, ever.
